The academic team

The School of Finance of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics was established in 2003. It has the only authorization point for doctoral degree in finance in Jiangxi Province, a master's degree in finance and two professional master's degrees in finance and insurance. Four undergraduate majors, including finance, financial engineering, financial technology and insurance, and the characteristic direction of finance (FRM), have been set up. Finance major is the first batch of brand majors in Jiangxi province, and the first batch of second-class characteristic majors in the Ministry of Education. Finance, insurance and financial engineering majors were approved as national first-class professional construction sites respectively. The college has four teaching units: Finance Department, Financial Technology Department, Financial Engineering Department and Risk Management and Insurance Department. The Institute established the Institute of Modern Finance in cooperation with Renmin University of China, initiated the Institute of Jiangxi Financial Development with Jiangxi Local Financial Supervision Administration and Honggutan New District Management Committee, established the technology and finance Research Center in cooperation with Jiangxi technology and finance Research Association, and established Jiuyin Bill Research Institute and Jiuyin County Economic and Financial Research Institute in cooperation with Jiujiang Bank. These cooperative institutions have provided strong support for the development of the Institute. 

There are 59 full-time teachers in the college, including 13 professors and 15 associate professors, and the proportion of teachers with doctoral degrees reaches 80%. In the faculty of the college, there are 3 experts who enjoy the special allowance of the State Council, 1 national-level teaching master, 2 teaching masters in Jiangxi Province, 1 winner of outstanding contribution talent award in Jiangxi Province, 1 leader of Jiangxi Province Talents 555 Project, 5 young and middle-aged academic leaders in Jiangxi Province, 2 Ten Million Talents Project Candidates in Jiangxi Province, 2 leading talents in philosophy and social sciences in Jiangxi Province, and 1 national achievement award for returned overseas students. After years of development, the college has formed a teaching staff with reasonable knowledge structure, professional title structure, academic background structure and age structure.  

At present, the college has more than 2,100 full-time registered students, including more than 1,800 undergraduates and more than 300 graduate students. The college focuses on talent training and quality construction, and pays close attention to the teaching of undergraduate and graduate students. The theory and practice of securities investment, the main course of finance major, is a national-level excellent course, while the courses of money and banking, international finance, securities investment and international financial practice are provincial-level high-quality courses. International Finance is a national excellent online open course. At the same time, it has also built an open comprehensive financial laboratory jointly built by the central and local governments and a modern financial experiment center supported by the central government. 

​ Adhering to the motto of Honesty and Honesty, the College attaches great importance to scientific research and academic innovation, and gradually refines relatively stable research directions such as monetary banking theory and practice, international finance theory and practice, capital market and risk management, corporate finance theory and policy. In recent years, it has continuously strengthened research in emerging fields such as financial technology and green finance, and a number of high-quality scientific research achievements have emerged. The college is committed to creating an academic atmosphere, creating an environment that makes people feel at ease in scientific research and building a platform to help teachers and students grow up. The Institute of Modern Finance, jointly established by the Institute and Renmin University of China, is a very important academic platform. Since its establishment in December 2017, the Institute of Modern Finance has been adhering to the purpose of devoting itself to the frontier research of modern financial theory, exploring the way of financial reform in China, and striving to build a high-level, open and international academic platform, striving to build academic brands such as Ganjiang Financial High-end Forum, Corporate Finance SEMINAR and Financial Market SEMINAR, and holding high-end international academic conferences to actively serve local social and economic construction.
