    On the afternoon of September 30, the working meeting of the doctoral supervisors of the School of Finance was successfully held in the Dongtou Conference Room on the second floor of the School of Finance. Professor Hu Yuancheng, Professor Gui Hefa, Professor Xiao Jun, Professor Liu Xinghua, Professor Huang Feiming, Professor Peng Yurong, and Professor Jiang Chonghui from the School of Finance attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Professor Yan Wu, head of the tutor group for doctoral students in finance.

   The participating tutors carefully studied the Management Measures for the Mid-term Assessment of Doctoral Candidates of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and discussed the work arrangements for the mid-term assessment of PhD candidates in finance. According to the requirements of the school’s documents, after careful and thorough discussion, it was decided that the comprehensive examination of the PhD students in Finance should cover the two degree courses of financial economics and reading and writing of foreign literature. The two courses are included in the comprehensive assessment of the subject. The scoring weights are 70% and 30% respectively, and strive to test whether students have a solid basic theoretical knowledge and solid professional knowledge.

   The meeting also conducted a serious discussion on the Management Measures for the Process of Doctoral Dissertations of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (Draft for Comment). Participating supervisors put forward suggestions and comments on revisions to the grading standards in the discussion meeting on the topic selection of doctoral students and the anonymous review of doctoral dissertations in the draft.

   This conference is of great significance for improving and strengthening the training and management of doctoral students in the School of Finance. The participants agreed that our school should further refine and strictly implement the regulations on the training and management of doctoral dissertation process management and mid-term assessment, and strive to improve the quality of doctoral training.
