​Brief Introduction to Risk Management and Insurance Department

The Department of risk management and insurance, formerly known as the insurance department, was founded in 1992. There are 11 full-time teachers in the whole department, including 2 professors, 3 associate professors, and 4 postgraduate supervisors. Among them, there are 10 doctors and 4 teachers with overseas study background. The Department of risk management and insurance undertakes the teaching and scientific research of insurance majors at graduate, undergraduate, adult and other levels. The courses offered include: insurance, risk management of financial institutions, life insurance, property insurance, risk model and pricing, insurance financial management, reinsurance, life insurance actuary, non life insurance actuary, etc. In 2017, the insurance major won the first place in the comprehensive evaluation of undergraduate teaching in Jiangxi Province, and in 2019, the insurance major was approved as the first-class construction major in Jiangxi Province. In recent years, the faculty members have worked in SSCI / SCI, such as International Journal of imperial finance, economic modeling, communications in statistics, South China, etc More than 10 papers have been published in journals, more than 10 papers have been published in famous authoritative journals such as economic research, financial research, quarterly economics, statistical research, etc., 5 national natural / social science fund projects have been funded, and more than 20 provincial and ministerial projects have been funded.
